MEDITATION SERIES: TRANCE


TRANCE music combines elements of repetitive rhythm and unique melodic scales to lift the mind from the ordinary. Repetition of mantra and chant combined with exotic instrumentation on this CD leads you into a state of internal awareness. This 70-minute journey was originally created as a soundtrack to a yoga video. The lyrics describe an ancient Brahman breathing and purification technique. (see lyrics) These words are written by a 15th century poet named Jai Dev, with music and arrangement by Wah!  ...voice, harmonium, light tabla, Chinese gong, and Balinese gamelon.

About This CD

This CD was created as a live soundtrack to a yoga video. I watched the TV screen and created the music as I saw the energy shift from posture to posture. I then overdubbed the basslines, gongs and gamelons. The master was lost for a few years, rediscovered, and then digitally remastered in 2003. We can now offer you this music in CD format.
