WAH! Savasana*2 (Wah! Music 2005)
review by Timothy Burgin

The success of Wah's first Savasana CD encouraged her to study how to source divine energy and refine her skills in healing with sound.  Savasana*2 uses the slow, resonating, and deeply relaxing vibe of Savasana 1 as its foundation while using additional layers and techniques to take one even deeper into states of peace, bliss and tranquility. The most significant change was the dropping of the tamboura and exploring the use of other harmonic overtones to replace it.  One of the most powerful of these new techniques is the overtone vocals of Baird Hersey, which creates the strangest other-worldly sound yet provides incredibly mesmerizing states of deep absorption.  The violin, upright bass, whistling, keyboards, and guitar were also utilized to create and add to the sonic overtone backdrop. Wah's improvised chanting and harmonium playing provides the guiding force for this rapturous and captivating recording.
